I get asked all of the time the following: "What is car detailing?" "How is it different than a car wash?" so I'm here to answer those questions and dispel any myths.
Detailing is mostly an in-depth cleaning of a car, starting from the inside, and then proceeding to the exterior. Detailing should be done as preventive maintenance, just as you would do on the mechanical parts of your car. Over time, a regular vacuum and wash will not be an enough to clean your vehicle correctly. Very minute dust and debris that goes unnoticed to the untrained eye remains. That is where someone such as a Professional Automotive Detailer is essential. In doing so, this will prevent permanent damage to the paint caused from a plethora of things such as brake dust, tree sap, and tar. If these things are left on the paint, over time, they will break down the surface causing it to rust. It's the same for the interior, if you leave a stain on the floor for weeks, it may cause irreversible damage or be a costly clean. This doesn't even begin to scratch the surface, however. There is so much that goes into getting your car detailed correctly. That's why it's crucial that you make sure to go to professional.
